Age Criteria
Doon Global School follows a strict age-based admission policy as per CBSE guidelines. The minimum age requirements for each level are as follows:
- Nursery: 3 years as on 31st March of the academic year
- LKG: 4 years as on 31st March of the academic year
- UKG: 5 years as on 31st March of the academic year
- Grade I: 6 years as on 31st March of the academic year
For Grade II and above, the student must have successfully completed the preceding class from a recognized school.
Eligibility
Admission to Doon Global School is open to students of all backgrounds, irrespective of religion, caste, or nationality. The school seeks students who are eager to learn and grow in a disciplined academic environment.
- Students must meet the age criteria specified for the class applied for.
- A satisfactory academic record from the previous school is required.
- Students applying for Grade I and above must clear the entrance assessment conducted by the school.
- A personal interaction with the Principal is mandatory for all applicants.
- Good conduct and character certificates from the previous school are essential for Grade VI and above.
Transfer Cases
Students transferring from other CBSE-affiliated schools or recognized boards are welcome. The following additional requirements apply:
- A valid Transfer Certificate (TC) from the previous school, countersigned by the appropriate authority.
- Report cards for the last two academic years.
- Migration certificate (for students transferring from another board of education).
- Mid-session transfers are considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to seat availability.
International Transfers
Students transferring from international schools must provide equivalence certificates from recognized authorities. The school reserves the right to conduct additional assessments for grade placement.
Required Documents
The following documents must be submitted along with the completed application form:
- Birth certificate (original and photocopy)
- Report card / mark sheet of the previous two years
- Transfer certificate from the previous school
- Aadhaar card of the student and both parents
- Passport-size photographs (student and parents)
- Medical fitness certificate
- Address proof (utility bill, rental agreement, or similar)
- Caste certificate, if applicable
Withdrawal Policy
Parents or guardians wishing to withdraw their child from the school must adhere to the following guidelines:
- A written application for withdrawal must be submitted to the Principal at least 30 days in advance.
- All outstanding fees and dues must be cleared before the Transfer Certificate (TC) is issued.
- The school will issue the TC within 15 working days of receiving the complete application and clearance of dues.
- No withdrawal will be processed during the examination period.
- The caution deposit (if applicable) will be refunded after deducting any pending charges.
Fee Refund Policy
The school follows a fair and transparent fee refund policy:
- Before session commencement: Full refund of tuition fees (admission fee is non-refundable).
- Within 15 days of session start: 75% refund of tuition fees paid for the quarter.
- Between 15-30 days: 50% refund of tuition fees paid for the quarter.
- After 30 days: No refund of tuition fees.
- The admission fee and registration fee are non-refundable under all circumstances.
- Annual charges paid in advance are refundable on a pro-rata basis.
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 30 working days of the approved withdrawal request.
